A symbol or graphic representation on a screen of a program, option, or window, especially one of several for selection.
Example: Typically the means of issuing commands using this system has been via a window - ICON - mouse - pop - up menu (WIMP) display, where the mouse is used to point at ICON s or menus in windows (which are subsets of the screen working area).
